Gentle Snow
I am not a huge fan of winter. I don’t like the cold, and prefer to stay inside by a warm fire. However, the one thing I do love about winter is the beauty of freshly fallen snow on the ground. This piece was written to be a reflection of that beauty. Freshly fallen snow on the limbs of the tree, sparkling in the winter sun, undisturbed by human footprints. It is truly a stunning thing to experience.
This piece is designed to be playable by a beginning level band. It is a lyrical piece that features simple repeated melodic and rhythmic motifs throughout. Coming in 2025 from Eighth Note Publications.
